Medicare Advantage Quality Review Organizations (MAQRO)
CMS has contracted with three Quality Improvement Organizations (QIOs) to review and evaluate Medicare Advantage Organizations’ (MAOs) quality improvement initiatives. The three QIOs are Delmarva, IPRO, and Lumetra. These three organizations are known as Medicare Advantage Quality Review Organizations (MAQROs). Contact information is in the table below.
As part of CMS requirements, MAOs are required to report on their Chronic Care Improvement Programs (CCIPs--QY08) and Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs--QY09). The MAQROs are responsible for reviewing and scoring these projects. The MAQRO assignments have been divided by region. Regional assignments can be found in the table below.
