Director of Contracts & Compliance
Angela M. Townsend-Williams, BA, JD
As Director of Contracts and Compliance, Ms. Townsend-Williams administers the contracting functions for the organization. She also serves as the Compliance Officer, supporting employees, management and the DFMC Board of Trustees in the observance of ethical business standards and compliance with CMS requirements, and overseeing operation of the organization’s formal compliance program. Prior to assuming this role, she served as the organization’s Senior Contracts Administrator.
Ms. Townsend-Williams’ previous experience includes over twenty years of legal practice, two years with a large Maryland law firm, and eighteen years in the Office of Corporate Counsel for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield.
Ms. Townsend-Williams received her law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC and her Bachelors of Arts, with honors, from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
